Clashes erupted between youth and government forces in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Monday morning. Eye Witnesses said that youth from Wayil area of the district tried to hold a protest march. However, a huge posse of government forces reached the spot and dispersed the youth by firing several tear-gas shells, trigerring massive clashes in the area. Reports also said that some youth tried to block Srinagar-Leh highway near Thune to protest the civilian killings in Kashmir. However, police reached the spot and chased away the protesters . Earlier, amid relaxation on Sunday evening massive clashes were reported from Duderhama and Qamria Chowk here, forcing shopkeepers to shut their shops. Meanwhile, amid complete shutdown on Monday massive clashes were reported from Kangan, Thune areas in Ganderbal district.
